ReCAP Artist Network
is an international platform connecting fine artists, writers, performers, and sound practitioners from the MA Contemporary Arts Practice (CAP) programme at the Bern Academy of the Arts/ Hochschule der Künste Bern (HKB). Founded as an annual publication showcasing the work of each graduating class, ReCAP has evolved into a growing international network that supports artistic exchange, collaboration, and critical dialogue across disciplines.
Every year, ReCAP publishes new works by graduating CAP artists working in Fine Arts, Sound Arts, Literary Writing and Translation, and Performance Art. Through interviews, essays, exhibitions, publications, and collaborative projects, the platform documents emerging artistic practices while fostering lasting connections between alumni and the wider contemporary art community.
Our mission is to create an active and accessible network where artists can share ideas, develop new collaborations, and engage with audiences beyond the academy. By connecting graduates across generations and geographical boundaries, ReCAP strengthens an international community of contemporary artists and encourages interdisciplinary practices that respond to today's cultural, social, and technological challenges.
* The ReCAP website is managed by the HKB CAP MA student assistants.
